Below you will find the contents of your Year 6 Practice Tests Resource. A brief summary is provided to help you find the test you’re looking for. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re not sure which test your child needs or if the test you’re looking for isn’t here. If you give us enough notice, we’ll have the test you need ready for you!

Our videos have been saved in a smaller file format to ensure that they load quickly and so that they don’t use up too much of your download quota. You can still view them in full screen, but you may find the text slightly blurry.

### How to Use These Tests

To gain the most value from this resource we recommend the following:

- Organise a time with your child to complete a paper. Ideally this would be a few nights before a school test, so that there is enough time to consolidate any skills that your child needs help with.
- Have your child sit the test in a simulated test environment. Clear their working space of everything except for the test and their writing materials and only use a calculator where recommended. Remove all distractions, especially access to online social networks! Set a timer for the allocated time shown on the test and encourage your child to attempt all questions, leaving nothing blank.
- If your child finished the paper early, ask them to check through their answers carefully for another few minutes.
- Once the time is up or when you are satisfied your child has finished the paper, sit together to mark and watch the solutions. Pause the videos to discuss your child’s working or to help them find any mistakes they have made. Discuss with them the importance of clear working out and identify skills for further practice.
- Keep a log of their achievement in these tests, perhaps setting goals and rewards for milestones in their progress.
